Thiem, who appeared to be cramping up moments ago but is moving better now, holds for 4-3 with a 132mph first serve – the hardest he’s hit all night – that Zverev can’t return into play. They hold their next two service points and it’s 3-all at the change of ends. Thiem holds the next point, but then Zverev gives the minibreak back with his 14th double fault of the match for 2-all. Zverev holds his opening service point, then goes up a quick minibreak with a backhand passing winner on Thiem’s serve for 2-love.
